THE ROOM CODE

Every game lives in a room with a 4-letter code. The person who taps PLAY 2P gets the code on their screen. Send it any way you like: say it out loud, text it, paste it in a chat. The second player types it in and taps JOIN. Rooms are private to whoever has the code.

WHO PLAYS WHAT

Player A starts with San Francisco, Player B with Pittsburgh. Rosters are real NFL-style lineups with names, positions and ratings.
Each drive is played by the person who has the ball. The other player watches the live score and waits for the hand-off. Nothing about the opponent's drive is simulated.
After a touchdown, the scorer plays their own extra point or two-point try.
Same room, another game: when a match ends you can run it back without making a new room.

WHAT YOU NEED

Any device with a browser: Chromebook, laptop, iPhone, Android.
An internet connection on both ends. School and home Wi-Fi both work.
About one minute to set up. A free username and password (no email), no download, no payment.

DIFFICULTY

Before you create a room you choose how the defense plays against both of you: SAME gives both players identical defense difficulty, DIFFERENT lets each player pick their own. Handy when one of you has played a lot more Retro Bowl than the other.
